Psychological support for fertility and assisted reproduction

A space for you, or for both of you, when pregnancy isn't happening, during assisted reproduction treatment or after a loss. 60-minute video sessions with Silvia Simón, a health psychologist trained in psychological care for reproductive problems.

When can it help?

  • When pregnancy is taking a long time and every month weighs more.
  • Before starting treatment, to make decisions more calmly.
  • During stimulation, the waiting and the results.
  • After a negative result or a treatment that didn't work.
  • After a pregnancy loss.
  • With egg, sperm or embryo donation and everything it raises.
  • When trying to conceive is affecting your relationship, your sex life or how you relate to others.
  • To decide whether to continue, take a break or stop.

As a couple or on your own

Everyone experiences trying for a baby differently, and sometimes it's hard to understand each other within the couple. You can come together or on your own, including if you're becoming a mother without a partner.

Sexuality and trying to conceive

Sex on a schedule, tests and treatments end up affecting desire and intimacy. As I'm also a sex therapist, we can work on this in the same sessions.

How we work

First we understand where you are and what weighs most right now. The aim isn't to go through it without emotions, but to have a space for them and tools for the waiting, the uncertainty and the decisions. Sessions don't replace your clinic's medical care: they complement it.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to be in treatment to come?

No. You can come at any point: when you start trying, while you're considering it, during treatment or afterwards.

Does it replace my clinic's psychological support?

It doesn't replace it: it complements it. You can combine it with your clinic's follow-up.

Are sessions online?

Yes, by video call from home. That way they fit better around appointments, tests and work.

Is it confidential?

Yes. Everything we talk about is protected by professional confidentiality and health data protection law.
